Only You Can Prevent Gun Abuse

I recently recieved these pictures from a customer. Apparently, the pictures are circulating on the internet. It appears to be a Smith and Wesson, .44 Mag in a model 629. As the internet story goes; the owner walked into a gunshop and asked if they could dispose of his pistol. He stated the front sight had smacked him in the forehead and when the tweety birds cleared; this is what he had left. If anyone has any other details; PLEASE share. I'd love to hear the "rest of the story"

*if your going to use the pics, could you at least pimp my page? thanks, ken

These are pics that I picked up off various sites.  i have no description but from the looks of it a laser bore sighting item was left in the barrel when fired at a range.
